It’s always fun to open a package of goodies that arrives in the mail! I’ve enjoyed trying all the fun beauty and food products that were provided to me for testing purposes, complimentary of the Influenster Frosty VoxBox!
I previously posted part one of my Frosty Vox Box review about the beauty products. Today I’m happy to share my experiences with the food products that were included in the Frosty Vox Box.
The Food Products
Yum! My family and I loved the cherry Fruit Vines sample in my Frosty VoxBox. My son loves red licorice (Twizzlers) so he was especially happy to see these in my box and give them a try.
We agreed that they’re the perfect soft texture and have a nice, fruity taste without being overly sweet. I appreciate that they’re low fat and have no preservatives. I’ll definitely buy these again.
Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Decaf Green Tea
I have to admit, I typically don’t drink tea that often. I’ve always thought it would be great to become a tea drinker, though, since there are so many health benefits to green tea. I’ve just never loved the taste. This Candy Cane Lane Decaf Green Tea from Celestial Seasonings may just change all that.
Opening the package, the light smell of peppermint was inviting. I steeped the tea for three minutes as directed and tried it out. I decided to add a bit of sugar, and it turned out very nice. It has a gentle flavor – neither the tea or the peppermint taste is strong and they complement each other well. Although this is billed as holiday tea on the package, I could drink this year round!
McCormick Gourmet Thyme
Busy moms always love more thyme, right?! Sorry for the silly pun, but I did enjoy receiving the gourmet thyme from McCormick in my Frosty VoxBox!
I enjoy cooking with different spices, and thyme adds a nice flavor to so many types of dishes. The bottle suggest several uses: soups, stews, roasted meats and poultry, stuffing, veggies, beans, and jambalaya.
I decided to use this thyme first to make easy lemon thyme roast chicken for dinner. It’s a super simple, yummy recipe!
The thyme added a nice, aromatic flavor to the dish. While it was in the oven, everyone in the house commented about how good dinner smelled. The thyme-seasoned chicken lived up to the wonderful smell!
