About

AMerryMom.comHi!  I’m Lisa, the regular mom behind A Merry Mom. My husband and I have three great kids – two boys and a girl.

This blog reflects my goal to be a cheerful, positive presence in this world. I wondered if naming this blog “A Merry Mom” would set the bar too high for me to live up to it every day. But it never hurts to have something to strive toward, right?

By nature, I’m a happy-go-lucky person. I love all things joyful and positive, and I try to focus on the beautiful things in life. There’s a lot in the world that can get us down, but there are plenty of great things as well.

One of my favorite Bible verses is Philippians 4:8:  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

In this blog, I try to reflect on these things.

I started this blog in 2013 after leaving my job in corporate communications to be a stay-at-home mom so I could focus on my family.  I write about family and home life, focusing on anything cheery – crafts, DIY, food, holidays, travel.

I hope we can connect on social media.  I’m on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Bloglovin’.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a lovely day!
